Utility/Conservation Education Payment Program

LiHeap and LiHWAP (Water and Sewer) assists low income and elderly persons with their utility bills.  When funds are available, clients must call in for appointments to complete application process as advertised.

Documents needed at time of Appointment:

 - Current ID

 - Social Security Cards for everyone in the household

 - Proof of Income

 - 6 months of light and/or gas bills

 - Proof of residence

Emergency Rental Assistance Program (CSBG)

Emergency Rental Assistance is designed to help low-income individuals who are facing eviction to maintain safe and affordable housing.  This program is dependent on the availability of funds.

Documents Needed at time of appointment:

 - Current ID

 - Social Security Cards for everyone in the household

 - Proof of Income for everyone in the household

 - Proof of Past Due Notice

Older Adult Home Modification Program (OAHMP)

 

Goal is to make safety and functional home modifications and limited repairs to meet the needs of low income elderly homeowners and renters age 62 and over.  The focus is on low-cost, high impact home modifications that enable older adults to remain in their homes, that is, to "age in place", rather than move to nursing homes or other assisted care facilities.

Requirements:

  1. Age 62 or older

  2. Own or rent their home

  3. Meet income requirements
